| By Nokukhanya N Mntambo A government delegation led by President Cyril Ramaphosa met with Nehawu leaders on Friday in Pretoria, after the union handed over a memorandum to the government earlier this month. Mthembu says the president is sick and cannot meet with the union on Monday. Ramaphosa held a meeting with national officials of the public sector union on Friday after Tuesday`s meeting was postponed due to a cold-suppressed Ramaphosa. The meeting follows weeks of concern among union members, which culminated in the submission of a memorandum to the presidency. The meeting agreed that the government and Nehawu will continue work on the issues raised in the Nehawu Memorandum, which are currently being discussed by government and Nehawu task forces. The meeting followed the presentation by the union of a memorandum to the President aimed at, among other things, uniformly improving the protection of work and health in the context of the Covid 19 pandemic, on conditions of service in the broad sense and on the implementation of clause 3.3 of Resolution 1 of the Public Services Council (PSCBC) of 2018, which deals with salary adjustments for the 2020/21 financial year and is currently the subject of litigation. . . .
