Aaa and GAA should now replace existing agency agreements in their day-to-day use, but they will remain available for the foreseeable future as they have specific needs. FONASBA adopts regular agreements, contracts and advice. Launched in January 2017, FONASBA`s appointment form for FONASBA BIMCO is a new document designed to formalize the designation of a ship agent for a single port or a relatively short series of calls to a limited number of ports. The form is suitable for use in all trades, including bulk products (dry and liquid), sheaths, project and short sea shipping. The contract form can be downloaded by clicking on the link above. The basic form of the agreement covers all the essential conditions of an agency agreement, but it will be supplemented in the future by a number of trade-specific clauses, which will continue to link the agreement to the specific needs of the sector.
